Have you ever thought of how much time we spend in school? Think about it kindergarten, first grade, second grade, third grade, fourth grade, fifth grade, sixth grade, seventh grade, eighth grade, ninth grade, tenth grade, eleventh grade, and twelfth grade, plus roughly four years of college. That’s about 17 years of school, if not more. That’s a LOT of time, and what do we learn all those years? We learn things that we may never use, that we may never need to know, and that will not help us become successful. So why do we learn it? We learn it because someone somewhere thought that we should learn it, even if it won’t be applicable to our daily lives. But when you really think about it certain people can spend even more time than normal at their school, especially in high school. You can take a lot of extra curricular’s and those extras usually involve spending more time in a school than you would want. So why the extra stuff? Well, most kids want to do something besides homework after school, something they actually enjoy, so they start a club, others just want to do it because it will look good on their college applications.Yet all of this time that we have, we spend learning things we may not need ever in our entire lives, so why is it important?
