Terrorism. It’s an ugly word that brings awful thoughts to our minds, some people have to hold back tears just from the awful images it brings to their head. How did the world get so far just crumble under disagreements? That’s all terrorism is to me, one person or group of people disagreeing with another person, group of people, or country on a large scale. The actions that people take are their decision, in everyday life, in terrorist attacks, and in war. One thing I don’t understand is why war isn’t considered a terrorist attack when it does the same thing that terrorist attacks do. War can rip families apart, can decimate a population, can explode buildings, can attack public areas, so why is it “different” from terrorism? It’s different because people in high places create it while terrorist attacks are common people doing the same thing that that important person who started a war was doing. We shouldn’t have to live in fear of a terrorist attack near us, but some people do. Everything that is wrong with the world comes down to one thing almost. People are unable to accept and respect other peoples values, ideals, religions, and way of life. We argue over each other’s decisions, wants, hopes, and dreams. Humanity is incapable of being peaceful, there is to many of us to make it possible that everyone agrees with everyone. Absolute peace will never happen, sorry to burst anyones bubble, but it’s true. Humanity will never completely be at peace because we will never agree with and respect other peoples decisions, no matter how bad they were or how good they were, decisions have been made and they have brought anarchy to the world. So don’t lull yourself to sleep with this perfect world in your mind, because that will never take place on this world with such a big population, it would take a miracle to make that happen, and I’m sorry but I don’t believe in miracles.
What is the point of taking math classes? I mean we never really use it in the real world, do we? Only a few jobs use math to it’s full capacity while all of the other jobs use only a little math if any. Why do we have to take years and years of math classes if we will barely use any of it in real life? Our time could be used in a much more productive way. I hate that a lot of my time is being poured into something that I may never use depending on what I finally decide to do with the rest of my life. The idea that math is required is a weird concept to me, I think that if someone wants to take math they can but, if you don’t have to take math for what your planning on doing for your job you shouldn’t have to take so many math classes in school.
I guess I am not qualified to discuss works loads as I am only in high school but I feel like that should qualify a work load. Homework for various classes and projects along with after school activities always seem to add up to a lot over time. That work load ends up being stressful, and that stress builds up in people’s lives. Stress leads to angsty teens and angsty teens lead to angry parents and parents make the world go round. So the amount of work we are given in high school can affect the way that our parents and those around us act and that effects the world we live.
Life…. ah what to say… life can be complicated, simple, happy, or sad. The many emotions of life can strike someone down or build someone up. Thought provoking actions often go unnoticed or are blatantly blown up to proportions that are out of control. The thoughts that many people feel are helpful may in fact be hurtful. However, you won’t know until that thought is expressed. For all you know it could build someone up.
Life seems to be going okay in high school this year (Being a sophomore is definitely better than being a freshman) but it seems like everyone in my school isn’t planning ahead… They aren’t making what they do in high school help them on to a better life, It seems to me that all they care about is high school. Is it just me that’s being weird and looking forward to college? I really think that high school is supposed to make yo find yourself yet press you into the mold of society. I mean, there are the jocks, the popular girls, the sporty girls, the nerds, the drama kids, and the band nerds. In high school you are forced to fit into a label and god forbid that you don’t fit into any of them. Your friends are determined by what you like and how many classes you have with someone. How does high school even prepare you for the real world?
Life has its ups and downs, yet somehow everyone exits at a low at some point. I mean think about it, everyone is usually sick, depressed, or has a freak accident. I would consider those all lows. Would you? Life’s end it’s self is a low. However, there are always high points in most people’s lives. Those moments when everything is perfect, when everything is worth while, when you feel like nothing is impossible. Sometimes those moments last for days, weeks, or maybe even years. However, that is not the case for everyone, some people barely make it through the day, sometimes they might just want out, want to leave everything behind, and how do we treat those people? Do we treat them with kindness? or do we ignore their presence? What’s their reason for despair? Is our cold exteriors the reason for their problems? Should we change our ways? You decide.
We all have that one day where you would rather just stay in and watch movies than go to school or work, are we just tired of doing the same thing over and over, or are we just to lazy to do the work that lies ahead. I think that laziness is a choice that we make to try to create a better outcome than the life we have. I think that you are only truly lazy because of your life quality. I think that if we are unhappy with our lives, we’re lazy. If someone is happy and enjoying their life, their as productive as possible. Right? If you didn’t like doing something you would be lazy about doing that thing? I believe that we all make the choice to be lazy or not. So what will generations of people who are taught that laziness is okay do to the world?
